We're excited to officially welcome Seán Cotter to LoveGunn as our newest Middleweight Designer.
Originally from Ireland and now based in London, Seán joins us with experience creating thoughtful, beautifully crafted design across sport, professional services and public sector organisations. Before joining LoveGunn, he worked on projects for the Football Association of Ireland, Law Society of Ireland, Vhi and The Campus Swords, helping shape brands with creativity, precision and personality.
As always, we thought we'd skip the standard biography and ask Seán ten questions so you can get to know him a little better.
1. What's your nickname?
Scotter. (Seán + Cotter.)
2. Who's your celebrity lookalike?
I haven't been given too many comparisons, but I have gotten Will Poulter and Nathan Collins. I'm pretty happy with the two of them!
3. If you could time travel, would you go to the past or the future? Why?
The past. I recently went on a trip to Mexico with a group of friends and was amazed learning about the Aztec and Mayan civilisations. Seeing them in their prime would be incredible.
4. What's the best podcast you've listened to or book you've read recently?
Prior to moving to London, I happened to read Down and Out in Paris and London by George Orwell. I'm glad London has improved a bit since it was written!
Podcast-wise, my go-to is LOI Central to keep up to date with all the latest League of Ireland news.
5. Which three music artists (dead or alive) would headline your dream festival?
In the past year I've seen both the A Complete Unknown and Elvis biopics, and I thought they were brilliant. I would have loved to see Bob Dylan and Elvis Presley live in their pomp. My third choice would be a band my dad and his friends used to play in back in the '80s called Sneaky Pete and the Ostrich. It would be pretty surreal to see those three acts perform together.
6. What's your dream travel destination?
I'd love to travel around South America, so either Argentina or Brazil.
7. Do you have a party trick?
When I was a kid, at parties or family barbecues, I'd always eat weird things to impress people—fish eyes and snails being two examples.
So... maybe that?
8. Tell us one interesting fact about yourself that most people don't know.
Many years ago, I got to be an extra on an Irish kids' TV show because I won an art competition.
The show was called Roy, about a cartoon child living in the real world, set in North Dublin.
9. What's your dream brand to work with, and why?
I've been lucky enough to work with the Football Association of Ireland before, but I'd love the opportunity to work with them again on a bigger branding project.
Looking at their visual identity, creating a custom typeface and designing a new crest would be an incredible opportunity.
10. What's been your proudest career moment so far?
Last year, I got the chance to work on the redesign of the crest for the Law Society of Ireland, such a historic and significant institution in Ireland. Equally, I designed the medal for the Vhi Women's Mini Marathon 2026, the biggest event of its kind in the world. I'm really proud of that one.
Welcome to the team, Seán. ❤️🔫
